Mitsubishi Legnum

customer feedback

1999 Nissan Silvia Spec R Aero

I picked up the car late last week & it's been an absolute dream!!!

The guys at Import Factory even said it was easily one of the best they've seen inside & out (there is not a spec of rust anywhere!!), which I'm guessing they've had a fair share come through their doors!

Once I got it home & gave it a good wash inside & out, I was in disbelief at the condition of the car, it's easily one of the cleanest I've seen myself & have had many compliments on the car!

So I just want to say a massive thank you & I hope you know how much I appreciate the work you did for me, I couldn't be happier!!!

I'll be sure to send anyone I know who is considering importing straight to you.

Thanks again mate, you're a legend!!!!

Mitsubishi Legnum and Galant (EC5W and EC5A)

The 8th generation Mitsubishi Galant (and station wagon version, named the Legnum) were produced from 1996 - 2002 and were met with high praise, the Legnum taking the Japanese Car of the Year prize in 1997.

The Galant and Legnum VR-4 are the top spec version of the sedan and wagon respectively, with a 2.5L twin turbo 4WD engine and most models featuring the Active Yaw Control system as seen on the Lancer Evolution, which detects yaw changes (i.e. if the car is turning or spinning) and controls the cars diffs accordingly to aid in control and handling. Most models feature 208kW (280hp) and come with either a 5 speed manual gearbox, or 5 speed tiptronic transmission.

Standard and optional features can include ABS brakes, dual or quad airbags, leather interior, Recaro interior, Momo steering wheel, carbon interior trim, Active Yaw Control, stability control and traction control.

Series 1 (1996 and 1997) models only carried the VR-4 name. All series 1 5 speed tiptronic autos had Active Yaw Control, Traction Control and Stability Control. All series 1 5 speed manuals had Active Yaw Control, but no Traction Control or Stability Control, and for series 1's the manual version had 15kW (20hp) more power. This model is allowed for import
VR-4 Type V
For series 2 facelift models (1998 and onwards) the Type V became the base model. It does not have Active Yaw Control or Traction Control and does not have the high visibility speedo cluster of other models. For the sedan Galant variant, series 2 manuals were only available in Type V, however series 2 wagon Legnum manuals could be Type V or Type S. Recaro seats and Momo steering wheel optional. This model is allowed for import
VR-4 Type S
Series 2 higher spec models with Active Yaw Control and high visibility speedo cluster. Recaro seats and Momo steering wheel optional. This model is allowed for import
